Newcomers

Welcome to St. James’! We are glad you joined us!

When you first enter the church, you will be greeted by our ushers who will give you a bulletin with the order of service, the music, and readings. Upon entering the gallery, to the right are the bathrooms and straight ahead is the sanctuary. Feel free to grab any pew, we don’t have assigned seats! Our hymnal is the blue book and our prayer book is the red book.

If you have a gluten allergy, please let the usher know so we can have the gluten free wafers ready for you at communion.

Before you leave, don’t forget to fill out a contact form so you can be added to our email list!

If you have any questions, feel free to grab an usher to look for our priest who will be happy to assist you.

St. James’ services take place at 10am on Sunday mornings during the year. Services last about an hour and include music. Our worship is rooted in tradition, joyful, and inspired by the teachings of Jesus.

From September through May, we offer Bible Study at 11:30 am and Noon Day healing service, both taking place on Zoom.

What should I wear?

Come as you are! Jeans, shorts, t-shirts, suits, dresses are all welcome.

Can I take communion?

All baptized are welcomed at the table of the Lord.

What is coffee hour?

Coffee hour is the time after the services when we have coffee service, tea, and snacks. All are welcome!

Are children welcome during the service?

The sound of children is a joyful noise at St. James’! Your little ones are welcome to sit in the pew with you, in our soft space at the front of the church, or we have a library at the back of the church where is plenty of space to roll around, play with toys, and hear the service.
